⛪️ Common Obstacles that can slow our efforts to begin new churches
Poverty, compounded by natural disasters, places great stress on church budgets and disrupts ministry. In some regions, gang violence and kidnappings have forced churches to close and residents to relocate.
Some young people are leaving traditional churches, even when they remain interested in spiritual matters. To be effective, church planters must learn to listen and understand before seeking to share the Gospel.
New churches need pastors and volunteers with strong biblical training. Travel between islands can make training and ongoing support difficult and costly.
🙏🏼 Three Prayer Requests for those laboring to plant new churches
Ask God to strengthen our churches in Haiti, many of which continue to suffer from insecurity, lack of access to schooling and healthcare, and inadequate jobs.
Ask God to encourage the leaders of our church in the Bahamas in their quest to train a new generation of leaders for ministries within and outside the church.
Ask God to bless the church in Trinidad as they actively seek to expand their influence, multiply their impact, and bring new churches into our global family.

Most Charis Alliance activities in the Caribbean region were initiated by a Florida (USA) ministry in cooperation with churches and leaders in the USA.
Leaders of Charis churches in Florida (USA) are very engaged with churches in the Caribbean region through frequent visits and financial support.
