Meet the Family: Martine Gninzenga (Congo)

I am 73 years old, single, and have no children—but I raised all 16 of my younger brother's children after he passed away in 2007.

I was born into a Christian family, but in 2020, after the tragic death of one of my brother's daughters, I decided to stop praying and didn't want to hear anyone talk about the Gospel. I had lost someone very dear to me, and everything in my life went dark.

In 2023, my younger brother, Prince J'IGNORE MAMBIKO, came to encourage me during his evangelization mission of "making weapons for Jesus Christ." He read Job 42:2–3 to me, and since I don't know how to read, I simply kept the words in my heart.

"I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted."

Despite all my efforts to have my own children, I realized that everything is vanity—including all the solutions I sought to conceive and all the humiliation I endured. I realized that it’s so much better to entrust my life to Jesus and serve Him for the rest of my days.

Nothing is more beautiful than entrusting your life to Jesus Christ. He fills you with peace and tranquility.
