⛪️ Four Obstacles that can slow our efforts to plant new churches
Many Filipinos already identify with a church or religious tradition. New evangelical churches need to build relationships patiently and explain their beliefs respectfully.
In many communities, families face low incomes, unstable jobs, and separation when family members move away for work. New churches have few resources to meet these great needs.
The Philippines has many languages, ethnic groups, and local traditions. Church planters need to understand local communities and lead with humility to serve people well.
In urban areas, land is scarce, and buying or building a suitable church building is often too expensive.
🙏🏼 Three Prayer Requests for those laboring to plant new churches
Ask God to help established churches grow in numbers and commitment so they can provide fair salaries for their pastors and fund new church planting efforts.
Ask God to renew established churches and give them a fresh vision for ministry so they will train and send workers to plant new churches.
Ask God to bless the several new church planting efforts in the Bicol region.

Long distances separate Charis Alliance churches in the Philippines, making it difficult for them to encourage and support one another.
Although restrictions during the COVID pandemic greatly disrupted local church ministries, leaders now see renewed faith, vision, and commitment to make disciples and build strong churches.
