⛪️ Four Obstacles that can slow our efforts to plant new churches
In some regions, families face unsafe conditions, hunger, limited health care, poor roads, and few opportunities for education.
Armed groups can make travel dangerous outside the capital city of Bangui. Churches often struggle to meet safely and care for people who have fled their homes.
Church planters may lack the financial support and spiritual resources they need to carry out their ministries.
Differences in language, culture, traditions, and religious beliefs can make it difficult to explain Christ’s truth and power in ways people understand. Rural communities can be especially hard to reach.
🙏🏼 Three Prayer Requests for those laboring to plant new churches
Ask God to protect church planters and new congregations in areas where violence and unrest threaten their safety.
Ask God to bring peace and restore relationships among people hurt by civil and religious conflicts. Pray that churches will help heal divided communities.
Ask God to work powerfully through our Bible institutes, seminary, and church planter training programs to prepare a new generation of faithful pastors, teachers, and evangelists.
🌍 Two Interesting Facts about our movement in this country
The Charis Alliance began ministry in this region in 1921. Today, it has the largest concentration of Charis Alliance churches, with most located in the western region.
Many people groups in the eastern and northeastern regions have had little opportunity to hear the gospel. Churches are now sending missionaries to reach them.

“So when they had come together, they asked him, ‘Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?’ He said to them, ‘It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.’”
