⛪️ Common Obstacles that can slow our efforts to begin new churches
Many people see little need for God or church. Church planters need to explain the gospel clearly and show why following Jesus matters in everyday life.
Some people are suspicious of evangelical churches or strongly attached to traditional religion. Building trust requires patience, honest relationships, and humble service.
Small congregations may struggle to train pastors, support church planters, and find affordable meeting spaces. New churches often need help from established churches to become strong.
🙏🏼 Three Prayer Requests for those laboring to plant new churches
Ask God to strengthen our Charis Alliance church in England, especially through bringing in younger families and raising up the next generation of leaders.
Ask God to raise up additional workers willing to join a church planting team to Ireland, building upon the extensive experience and strong relationships of current missionaries.
Ask God to strengthen the church in Portugal and bless the efforts of the church planting team in Lisbon through creative efforts to proclaim Christ and make disciples.
🌍 Two Interesting Facts about our movement in these countries
The Charis Alliance first entered the U.K. in 1982, Portugal in 1990, and Ireland in 2002.
As many of the first wave of missionaries have retired or left their assignments, more workers are needed.
